Libya: NATO/UN overstepping it’s boundaries?

Over recent days I have been reading stories of US, UK and French bombing raids on towns that are targets for the rebels. I don’t see how bombing Gaddafi controlled towns to allow rebels to advance much faster than they would normally can be considered with the bounds of the UN resolution. NATO is not there to help the rebels overthrow the incumbent ruler but that doesn’t seem to matter; the United Nations and NATO have no business getting involved in a revolution. Their remit is to enforce a no-fly-zone and stop attacks on civilians but NATO are in contradiction of the UN resolution passed a couple of weeks ago. I am no fan of the Gaddadi regime but that doesn’t mean I support the unilateral actions of the UN and NATO to bomb towns and cities to aid the advance of the rebels and even the suggestion of the United States supplying arms to the rebels is completely unacceptable. It seems the west has started a witch-hunt for Gaddafi!

It seems to me that western governments really don’t understand the region at all; UK prime minister David Cameron has said that the Gaddafi troops should just walk away from their weapons and artillery as supporting Gaddafi is a lost cause. He clearly doesn’t understand how it works; assuming Gaddafi’s troops are not loyal and wanted out; they would be killed for even speaking out against Gaddafi let alone abandoning their positions, will Cameron protect these troops from being killed; no they would not. These politicians really piss me off; talking about a situation that they have very little understanding of; until you experience the situation first hand, shut the fuck up!!!
