Drugs = Good!!!

For the last 24 hours I have been suffering from extreme back pain, and being stubborn, I didn’t take any drugs to ease the pain. What a mistake, waking up every 10 minutes in pain, still only had about 4 hours sleep. Took 2 Anadin about 2 hours ago, and I can actually sit at the computer for the first time in 24 hours.

In football, its been a reasonably good night for British teams with Newcastle achieving a 1 – 1 draw away at PSV Eindhoven, which gives Newcastle the advantage going into the home leg of the tie. Celtic also managed a 1 – 1 draw, but this time at Celtic Park, so there is still a lot to do in the away leg, but a reasonable result non-the-less. In local football, Argyle have secured the services of Paul Connolly, Peter Gilbert, and Luke McCormick for at least another 2 years, which is great news for the club as they are the hub of the Argyle defence.

In Formula One, its seems that the FIA is looking to impose restrictions on car speeds again, after concerns of the cars going too fast, lap times have tumbled by as much as four seconds per lap. Personally I think that its pointless, as each time new rules and restrictions come into force, the teams find ways to get around the restrictions and end up going faster anyway. Its mainly because grip levels are a lot higher than this time last year, so the car can carry more speed through the corners. Let’s face it; F1 is safer now than it has ever been before, so I don’t think that the cars need to be slowed down.
