All my good work this week!

!has gone to waste over the weekend, I managed to go out and spend all the money that I had saved by not going out all week. Saturday I took a trip to Paignton, which is in Torbay, otherwise known as the English Riviera, for those of you that are not familiar with Devon, we stopped off in two pubs, which isn’t too bad as I only had one pint in each pub, that day cost me about £12 in total. Last night was the big one, I went out with a mate to enjoy the sun, maybe have a pint or two. Five pints later, I am thinking lets go out clubbing! it’s amazing how drinking a few pints alters your ideas, as I had no intention of going out clubbing before I started drinking. Once in the club, started off in Reflex (the 80s bar) where it was buy one get one free, which I didn’t realise when I ordered the drinks, so ended up with many more pints than I intended to drink, but I couldn’t let it go to waste, so I got through about 15 pints in a 6 hour period of time, and I now have the hangover to go with it! and I have a party to go to tonight, and I really don’t fancy drinking again tonight.

Observations of the weekend are; dance/r’n’b music fans, known as townies, Kevs and probably lots of other names have a completely different language to everyone else in the world. Apparently “trippin'” means lying, “shockin'” means bad, “bangin'” means good, and the all time favourite is “init”. Notice that there isn’t a ‘g’ in the Kev alphabet, but myself and Ste (he’s called Stephen, but because his name doesn’t have a ‘v’ so he his name cant be shortened to Steve) had a great time taking the piss out of his little sister Toni (who is the stereotypical Kev) on the bus journey home.

Entertainment (I use that term loosely) news, the Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest, although it was mainly because of all the Balkan countries giving each other maximum points. The Eurovision Song Contest is a joke these days, its not even about the music anymore, its about politics. No way in hell was the Ukraine entry the best song there. The best songs in my opinion was the UK, and Iceland, who finished 16th and 19th respectively. At least Terry Wogan kept me amused with his usual sarcastic comments about the Eurovision; frankly he is the only thing that makes it worth watching!

And finally, one of my Phoenix pictures is going to be published in a regional magazine called 24/7 Magazine, seems that I was in the right place at the right time, as no-one else got a shot of Babar Luck despite there being loads of photographers in that night. Maybe I can make a career out of this photo taking malarkey after-all; getting a picture published has certainly inspired me to look into it further!
