It that time of the year again, when the games playing public and games journalists alike wait with baited breath to see what’s new on the gaming block, yes, its the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 as its more commonly known. This year we seem to be left with a feeling of Déjà vu as Doom³, Halo² and the farse that is Half-Life² will be on show again, I say that Half-Life² is a farse because of all the screw ups valve have made, firstly implementing the STEAM system, then it was the code leak fiasco, and it turned out that Valve had been lying from the day of the announcement at last years E3, the game was never going to be released in time for the September 30th release date, which brought up the conspiracy theories about the leak being deliberate to deflect attention away from Valves incompetence and lying.
Plymouth Argyle manager Bobby Williamson is very confident that his team will be able to hold their own in the first division. I really do hope so, it wont be good for morale if the team go back down to division 2 immediately, but less of that talk and be positive for the future! Pilgrims for the premiership in 2006, maybe not, but it cant hurt to be optimistic.
As I am sure most of my readership knows, I am a big F1 fan, and was disappointed to see Michael Schumacher walk away with another win, I wish that Rubens Barrichello would pull his finger out and say “to hell with team orders” as it seems that no-one has ultimate pace and reliable over Ferrari, at least Jenson Button did manage to grab a point after his lowly starting position of 14th. Jenson Button and BAR are the only hope this season of beating the Ferrari’s, David Richards, Principle of BAR is convinced that his man can achieve this goal. I am not so convinced, but I really hope that he is right; especially seeing Jenson Button on the top step of the podium would be a proud day for all Brits, as we haven’t seen a Brit on the top step of the podium for some time, which is a great shame, as we have two very talented drivers in Jenson Button and David Couthard, If I had my way, I would have the two Brits together in the same team, BAR would be a good place as the team is really making serious moves on the big teams.
And finally, a big thanks goes out to Stephen and his coding genius brain for helping me sort out the XML news feeds (that’ll be those news thingies on the left), making it look all pretty by removing all the useless shit in the header.
