It’s been a while since I have mentioned my home team, Plymouth Argyle on the blog, so here it is; It seems that Argyle’s fortunes are not looking too good after several defeats in pre-season games, despites Williamson bringing half of Scotland down to Home Park, Argyle only managed one win in their tour of Austria and was thumped 5 – 1 by Portsmouth, I hate to say this, but I think it will be an uphill struggle to stay up this season, I really hope that I am wrong about this, but competition will be tough this season in division 1, oh sorry, make that the Championship (what was wrong with division 1?).
In Formula One, the musical merry-go-round that is the F1 transfer market is in full swing, with Giancarlo Fisichella confirmed as moving to Renault for next year. Mark Webber has signed for Williams as expected to replace Juan Pablo Montoya, but the big question is; who will get the second seat at Williams which has been vacated by Ralf Schumacher, who is off to Toyota next year. David Couthard maybe? I really hope so; he is too good a driver to be relegated to one of the lower order teams.
