It was announced today that legendary radio DJ and broadcaster John Peel has died while away on working holiday in Peru with his wife Sheila. He suffered a massive heart attack in his hotel room at the age of 65. John Peel have done so much for music in the UK, broadcasting for more that 40 years, breaking new acts, giving them exposure on national radio, many bands owe their careers to him. He will be missed greatly, as he was one of the great British voices on the airwaves, he was committed and passionate about music, especially new music, both acts and genres, I don’t think that there is anyone out there with as much passion for music as John Peel.
