Today has been one of those days when nothing seems to go right, firstly I woke up late, and just as well I didn’t need to be in work until 10:30am today, my alarm clock decided that it was going to reset itself, when I woke up, it was flashing 12:00, which didn’t help, jumped out of bed, thinking that I was late for work, but luckily it was only 10:00am, just as well the video clock sets itself. So panic over, I got ready and went to work, arrived dead on time, so no problems there. But my usual record of not breaking anything went down the drain today, managed to break not one, but two big breakfast plates, and these are big plates, around 20 inches in diameter, guess if I am going to screw up, I do it big style! Not to mention the cup and mug juggling all day, just couldn’t seem to get a decent grip on anything, which was driving me nuts, I think that I would have been better off in bed, although knowing that I was being at £10 p/h made me feel better about working!
I went grocery shopping for the first time in my new flat, and went to Somerfield on Mutley Plain (just up the road from me), and was shocked at the prices that they were charging, even own brand stuff is bloody expensive. I didn’t buy that much and it cost me almost £27. For £27 I could have bought a months worth of shopping in Aldi, near where I used to live, I am definitely going to shop in Aldi, as I get much more, OK, I will need to get a taxi home, but that’s only going to be £5, (probably less, but I always give a decent tip to the driver) and save a bucket load of money in the process, and my father reckons that it’s cheap in Somerfield, although he has a lot less overheads than I do, so has more money to spend, in fact, his pension gives him more money than I earn working per month!
I don’t even want to talk about Plymouth Argyle’s result as they were outclassed yet again, at Home Park, losing 2 – 0, at this rate, I can see them going back to League One, well technically they have never been in League One, but you know what I mean!
PS: I listened to my friend from Leeds, Matt (ssmmdd) radio broadcast on Wireplay Radio last night, really amusing as he was throwing insults at me via the online radio station, although I gave as good as I got in IRC!
PPS: I have registered myself a .name domain, as it was a free Christmas present from my webspace provider, 1&1 Internet, so this site can now be found at www.jasonlewis.name as well as technostorm.co.uk, so you can have a choice of domains to visit!
