Well, since I haven’t done an update for a week, I thought that I best fill in the blanks. Not that there has been many blanks to fill in, nothing of note has really happened, its been a relatively quiet week. Work has been generally good, no complaints there, my social life is not very active, been staying at home watching some TV and surfing the web, that kind of thing. I have been too tired for the most part to do anything, not been sleeping well, only getting four hours sleep per night on average. On Thursday I had my cable TV installed, and spent the whole of Thursday evening flicking through channels, of which there are an awful lot, and managed to find something to watch all night long, especially finding brand new episodes of CSI: Miami, Law & Order, and Charmed, seems that episodes that are being shown on channel 5 are rather dated to say the least. Been watching Kerrang TV in between my favourite shows. Last night (that’ll be Friday then) I went to my first Phoenix gig of the year to see a friend’s band, a 10-piece soul band, which is a bit of a departure for me, but they were very good, and look forward to seeing them play again. Even more impressive is that I resisted the temptation to go out drinking afterwards, which is not like me at all; I am usually the one that wants to go out. Maybe I am getting old? *shudders* Since moving away from the main clubbing area, I don’t seem to want to go out and drink as much, and prefer to stay home. Next stop will be marriage and 2.4 children, although I’ll need a bigger flat for that. Although I need to find a nice young lady to even contemplate that, Internet dating anyone? Well maybe not, but it was a thought that went through my head!
Nothing much has happened in sport apart from Plymouth Argyle’s slide down the league continuing much to my dismay. Losing 1 – 0 away to Gillingham. Something really has to change at Home Park; it already looks like the Pilgrims could be playing League One football next season unless they drastically improve their game. I don’t understand why they keep on losing, watching the FA Cup game against Everton showed that the team have the skill and ability, but don’t seem to be able to win many games, only snatching the odd win here and there. No team has taken a big victory over Argyle, its usually only one goal between the teams, but at the end of the day, that doesn’t matter, a loss is a loss no matter how you look at it. If Plymouth do get relegated this year, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bobby Williamson leaving Home Park. But if you look at the History of Plymouth Argyle, you will see that they do well for a couple of seasons, then go into a major slump, dropping divisions like their lives depended on it. It’s a hard life being a Plymouth Argyle supporter, but I am one of the few people that actually support my home team and will continue to do so. I am not going to jump ship and support ManUre (to quote Tomas) or Arsenal, just because they are doing well, one day I hope to see Argyle in the Premiership playing against and beating those teams. One thing I would like to say, come on Exeter City, show those Mancs how it’s done at St. James’ Park.
Well that’s all I have to say for this update, I really need to take a pen and paper to work with me, so I can note down all my thoughts while at work, loads of blog worthy thoughts are conceived there, as its not the most mentally taxing job!
