The first ‘non English’ English team!

Just been reading about Arsenal fielding a completely foreign line up, including all the substitutes. There were six Frenchmen, three Spaniards, two Dutchmen, one Cameroon international, one German, one Ivory Coast international, one Brazilian and one Swiss national. Which prompted me to look up how many foreign players are in the Premiership, and the answer is a shocking 252 players, that’s 12.6 players per team. No wonder that English national football has gone down the pan, there is no new English talent being cultivated, at least not in the Premier League. At the rate that foreign players are being brought into the Premiership, within the next 10 years I wouldn’t be surprise if there were no English players in top-flight football! I think that I will get into my time machine and travel back to the 80s when grass roots football was a its height, maybe take Tomas with me as his Team, Liverpool was dominating everything back then!

Onto something a little lighter now, want a different view of my blog (or any other site for that matter); take a look at this, type in a URL then click submit, very funny stuff, don’t click this link if you are easily offended! What the hell! click it anyway, it’s hilarious
