Last night I went to the Phoenix to take photos and write a review for Phoenix Live, but in the end, the complete opposite happened, I ended up walking out because stupid fucking band members in the headline act decided they knew better than the soundman, and cranked their amps right up, causing me physical pain, so I just grabbed my jacket and walked out, and deleted the photo’s that I had taken. I ended up getting pished down at the Quay Club, probably wasn’t the best solution, but I needed to unwind as I was feeling seriously pissed off, I was going to storm home and delete absolutely everything Phoenix Live related. Now I have calmed down, I still feel the same about Phoenix Live, so I have taken the main site down and put up a holding page, with links to the reviews and pictures until the domain names expire. I have also deleted all my phoenixlivegalleries.co.uk/com Email addresses as I won’t need them now. I have also decided to stop doing the sound at the Phoenix as it’s pointless as most bands don’t work with the soundman, and they sound shit because of it, as there isn’t much I can do with the mix when one or more instruments are stupidly loud onstage. So I am making a clean break from the Phoenix, as I really don’t want to be associated with the Phoenix officially anymore, I just want a normal life, go to the gigs I actually want to see, and pay to get in like everyone else.
