I have decided to backtrack again, and reverse my reversed decision to give up on the local live music scene. Confused? Right in simple terms I have severed all ties with the Phoenix and the local live music scene, including deleting all websites and profiles relating to my Phoenix activities, and changing passwords and Email addresses to random mail addresses and passwords on local music forums, so I can no longer log in. I really don’t know why I didn’t walk away when I decided to quit before, guess it was more out of a sense of duty than anything else, but the events of last night, which I wont go into here killed off any remaining wish to continue, despite it tearing me apart last night, its incredibly hard to just walk away. But today I feel a lot better about things; almost like a 10 tonne weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I don’t really need the money for sound engineering, it was only beer money anyway, and on nights when I wasn’t working, but taking photos I tended to dip into my bank account for beer money, I have squandered more than £60 in the last 6 days alone, which isn’t a sensible thing to do considering the amount of bills I have to pay. In fact I will actually be better off as I don’t feel any great need to drink when I am not in a pub environment, I am quite happy to stay home and rest, which simply wasn’t happening before and the net result was that I was constantly tired and it affected my working and personal life! Now I have 6GB of web space and I am only using 27MB for this site and a couple of friends’ sites which I host, maybe I should take some other photos of stuff non gig related and create a gallery as an extension of this web-log, after all I don’t want this expensive camera going to waste do I? now that would just be silly!
