Plymouth Argyle’s run of winless home games continued last night versus Crewe, but on the bright side Plymouth managed to stop the goal drought, but the defence is still far too leaky. The visitors went ahead after just 8 minutes when Eddie Johnson scrambled the ball past Romain Larrieu from a corner kick. Scott Taylor got on the end of a Matt Derbyshire cross to bring the score line level for the home team. Plymouth looked the better team for much of the match, but just couldn’t convert that pressure into a goal to take all 3 points. It’s not the ideal result that we needed, but at least its stemmed the run of home loses, but Argyle still need to work on strengthening the back four, not necessarily getting new players, but tightening up the defence, working as a unit better, I think that the Pilgrims have the talent, its just a matter of finding the best way to use that talent. So a more positive note this time, despite dropping another position in the league to second bottom. Hopefully this result will boost morale and give the incentive to win their next home game against Burnley, and start climbing the table. Jocky Scott has declared his interest in taking over the position of manager full time, I am not convinced by his credentials just yet, but he has a couple more games in charge at least, so let’s see what sort of results he can generate, for now I will give him the benefit of the doubt; besides he can’t really do much worse than Williamson!
