Plymouth Argyle have beaten Stoke City 2 – 1 at Home Park, much to the delight of manager Tony Pulis; who was sacked by the by the Potters in the summer. Although not all went to plan, Argyle were first to concede; going behind just after the half time break; but Argyle were gifted an equaliser three minutes later when Tony Capaldi’s shot took a deflection wrong footing the Stoke goalie. Akos Buzsaky scored the winner for the Pilgrims, driving the ball into the bottom right of the Potters goal from 12 yards out. So all in all, it was a pleasing result for Plymouth, and elevates the team to 20th position; hopefully Argyle can win their next home game against Sheffield Wednesday two weeks from today, which could possibly elevate the team to a respectable mid table position. Another positive from today was Plymouth had much better discipline, managing to go the whole game without a single booking. Things certainly look on the up, long may it continue, a team the calibre of Plymouth shouldn’t be languishing at the bottom on the table!
Not much to talk about on the personal front, nothing terribly interesting has happened in my life, went out on Wednesday and Friday, and managed to drink sensibly, so not much in the way of hangovers the morning after, which is good as I had to work both those days. But come the end of this month, I won’t be sober in any way, shape or form, as it’s my birthday on the 27th and I have that week off work. So it will be Voodoo Lounge on Wednesday, Quay Club on Thursday and JFK’s [C103] on Friday, which means that I won’t be going out much before then, as I need to save my pennies back for the birthday blitz!
