That’s how long my new years resolution of giving up drinking lasted; couldn’t resist the call of JFK’s on a Friday night, and of course I had to go to the Phoenix for a few drinks beforehand, plus I needed to pick up my headphones for my phone. One thing that struck me as I wasn’t drinking too heavily as I had the early shift in work the next morning is how boring it is in JFK’s when not in a drunken state, it’s a case of “same old shit, different day” – it’s the same as every other Friday night in JFK’s. In some ways I wish I didn’t go, but in other ways I am glad I went as I would have only sat at home thinking about what I was missing out on. The conclusion that I have come to is I should go out once per month, so I don’t spend too much and it helps keep it fresher, although I doubt that it will change much in four weeks, it hasn’t changed that much in the three years I was banned! So I will try to stay away next week, actually I need to stay away next week as I have some serious bills coming out in the next couple of weeks, so unnecessary spending is out of the question!
Argyle have been dumped out of the FA Cup by Wolves who Plymouth held to a 1 – 1 draw a couple of weeks ago in the league. This time the score line was 1 – 0 to the home team, the game wasn’t exactly a classic, but Plymouth had multiple chances to equalise in the first half, but the game fizzled out in the second half to a rather lacklustre conclusion. I am not bothered about Plymouth being beaten in the FA Cup, Plymouth have more important things on the agenda, such as surviving their second season in the Championship, lets hope that Argyle can bounce back at Home Park against mid table Norwich next Saturday afternoon after the 3 – 0 drubbing on Monday at Home Park against Leeds!
