Plymouth have failed again to beat Leeds in the game at Home Park, it’s the third time we’ve played Leeds and the third time we have been beaten by the Yorkshire team. I cant fault Plymouth’s resolve, they didn’t give up even when 3 – 0 down, they played their hearts out, but apart from a few players, the team as a whole aren’t good enough to compete with the top teams in the Championship, some inspired signings are needed in the transfer window. Leeds simply played Argyle off the field today, Plymouth never looked like they were going to score, apart from a few long range efforts from Akos Buzsaky, Plymouth never troubled the Leeds goal! The problem is that final ball in the danger area is poor, the strikers simply don’t get the service from the midfield, and Micky Evans really needs to be put out to pasture, I feel that Tony Pulis plays him simply because he’s always been a Plymouth player and feels that he owes Evans a first team place. Plymouth haven’t dropped any positions in the league, but are now only three points off the relegation zone, which is a precarious place to be, it would be so easy to drop into the bottom three. I know that Pulis is between and rock and a hard place as getting quality players down to Plymouth is damn hard work, most players don’t want to live so far into the southwest, and Plymouth’s position in the league doesn’t help in drawing players to the club, and I cant help thinking that we won’t be able to hold onto our star player, Akos Buzsaky for next season, as several Premiership teams have shown interest in the Hungarian player, and I can’t see him staying loyal on current form!
