Plymouth Argyle have managed a third consecutive win in the Championship, not the most convincing win ever, but it was a 2 – 1 win for the Home Park team. Nick Chadwick latched onto the end of a Hasney Aljofree throw in to put Argyle ahead just before the half time break to give Argyle the lead; but Southampton responded well pushing for an equaliser, which they got off the head of Andrew Surman in the 69th minute. Plymouth were gifted the win in the 82nd minute due to a dubious penalty decision, which no-one even appealed for, the referee obvious saw something that no one else did, but Paul Wotton made no mistake in converting the unexpected opportunity. Plymouth Argyle are now officially in mid table, sitting in 14th level on points with Coventry City, but the Sky Blues have a four goal difference advantage over the Pilgrims, but Plymouth do have a game in hand over Coventry. Hopefully Plymouth can capitalise on their current confidence and form to get a decent result from Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon. Plymouth are now only eleven points off a play off place, something that I thought wouldn’t be a possibility, but the raft of new players and decent run of form recently has given me renewed hope of doing something this season. Finishing in the top third of the league is a real prospect now, although acquiring a play-off place maybe a little out of Argyle’s reach this season. But the building blocks are in place for next season if manager Tony Pulis can keep this team together!
Work has been pretty uneventful of late; the dishwasher machine has been fixed and is working as it should do for the first time in twelve months. But there was a bit of a setback over the weekend, leaving the pot wash flooded for Sunday and Monday as the inlet pipe was damaged and pouring out water, [as pictured here]. It didn’t affect the way the machine works, just meant that we had to keep bailing out the water every 10 minutes, which was time consuming to say the least, but was a necessary evil, but that was sorted late Monday afternoon, it just amazes me that parts such as a the hose that connects the machine to the water supply isn’t keep as a backup in case of failures, but it isn’t, so had to wait two days for the part to become available, but if you read my ‘blog regularly, you’ll know that’s the way Derrys works, and I don’t see it changing any time in the future!!!
And now I’ll hand over to Tomas for a some nice polite comments about spammers!
