Business as usual!

Just got all my own stuff sorted and I have been called to a computer user in distress, the same person that I built a PC for a few months back. Seems that his hard disk isn’t being recognised by Windows XP, so I reckon that his SATA drivers are corrupt, at least I hope that’s all it is, I would rather not spend ages pissing about with reinstalling Windows. I asked him to buy a floppy disk drive as he elected not to purchase one with the rest of the PC against my recommendations as I knew that the SATA drivers would come on a floppy disk, also I don’t want to be taking my drive out all the time as well, especially not now as I am downloading a rather large file and don’t want to interrupt it to remove the floppy drive. Anyway I am going to have a look tonight, and hopefully pick up the remaining bits and pieces from the old flat, if Stephen is available to transport the stuff to Keyham. It seems that it’s not possible for me to have a simple life these days, I moved out here to get away from all the hassle, but it seems that it follows me about; no matter how hard I try to lose it!

In football related stuff, Plymouth Argyle have secured their place in the Championship next season after holding Leeds United to a 0 – 0 draw at Elland Road. The home team never really looked convincing up front unlike earlier in the season when they beat Argyle 0 – 3 at Home Park. Argyle could have won the game and grabbed all three points but no-one managed to get on the end of Leon Clarke’s shot cum cross, but a 0 – 0 result is excellent for Argyle at this time and almost kills off any chance of Leeds capturing an automatic promotion spot this season. Plymouth are still hovering around 14th position at the moment, but could still make it into the top 10 teams if they can have a good run in, two games at Home Park against Plymouth and Ipswich and two away games at Millwall and Leicester, all games that Argyle are capable of winning, but only time with tell what will be the outcome of these matches, but we need to win both home matches at the minimum.

There’s nothing much to say about Formula One, as the F1 circus have taken a sabbatical for three weeks, it’s back in Europe on the 23rd of April, so I cant rant about that! Work has been OK, nothing unusual or annoying has happened there either, so I can’t rant about that, guess I best bring this ramble to an end then, toodle pipski until the next exciting update!
