Well the move has happened, I am saving loads of money, and I get people to interact with, so hopefully I won’t be making as frequent trips to the local drinking establishments as I did when I lived in Greenbank. I have bought a whole load of new furniture for the new house, got all my CD’s, DVD’s and games all on one shelving unit, just about though. Bought myself a comfy leather chair for the computer, so I can work and game in comfort, bargain at £50. Had loads of fun building the flat packed furniture, did an awful lot of swearing in the process. Bought a double air mattress for the bed that was already here, although it takes some getting used to and it needs to be reinflated every few days although its only a temporary measure until I get myself a proper mattress. Finally, I am sitting on a 10Mbit internet connection, although shared between myself and Stephen, Nick has decided to keep his 2Mbit BT as he has one of those new fangled BT Fusion home/mobile combo thingies. It means that I can theoretically download at nearly 1.3Mbytes per second, which is nothing short of astonishing, and more importantly my upload speed has increased to 384Kbits per second, so I am one happy camper at the moment. I will also be getting SKY TV installed very soon and go in with Stephen in the multiroom package, so we will be paying£31.25 each, that’s the SKY+ box in the living room and two normal SKY digital boxes in the bedrooms. So things are pretty good, and living further away from town and having company means that I don’t have the urge to go out as much. Infact I stayed home last Friday which would never have happened if I was closer to town, but what was amazing is that I stayed home even though Martyn and Stephen went, so it’s all good at the moment! The only downer is that my old landlords (Beresford Ward) have decided to say that I owe them a months rent, which is bollocks as when I moved in I paid £750, that’s £325 for the deposit which I am going to lose because those bastards have accused me to damaging the bathroom door which is bollocks as that damage was there when I moved in; and £325 rent in advance, which means that I don’t have the pay the final months rent! I am going to write an Email to them stating my position, as I know I would end up losing my temper if I called them on the phone. I have no intention of paying it as I know that I don’t owe it. My only worry is that my dad went guarantor for me, which means he may become liable for it, which is unacceptable as far as I am concerned; if they do take that action I will take legal action against them as they should not be allowed to get away with such bullshit! Well that’s the first rant from the new dwelling, first of many to come, you love it really!
