I was due to have Sky TV installed tomorrow as part of the multi-room package on Stephen’s account as it would mean that both myself and Stephen could have the main room [Sky+] and two additional rooms for £62.50, which means £31.25 each, saving us both money as we were both paying £42.50 each month separately beforehand. Anyway, Sky have fucked up, they booked the installation for Stephen’s old address, which you would think wouldn’t be a problem, just change the installation address. But NO that would be too simple wouldn’t it? they had to cancel the order, refund the money, then start another order on a different date, and charge the fees again. This means that I am stuck without Sky TV for another fucking week. How can a company as big as Sky be so absolutely fucking useless, when their systems can’t even cope with address changes, Stephen changed his address nearly two weeks ago now. This has left me feeling really seriously pissed off as I have no TV at all for another week, I can’t get Freeview as there isn’t an aerial on the roof and my boosted indoor aerial can’t pick up a strong enough signal to power my Freeview box. In other general bullshit, it seems that I do owe Beresford Ward money, which my dad is going to pay, and I will pay the money back to him over the next three months, but I am seriously pissed off with their behaviour after harassing my dad over the last week. So I am writing a letter complaining about their behaviour, and pointing out their multiple failings over the 16 months of my tenancy in Clifton Place. I am definitely not going to clean the flat up just for them to refuse to give my deposit back because of the damage on the bathroom door, which was already there when I moved in. They gave me a piece of paper to return within 24 hours of issue to state any damage at the time of handing over the keys, but I didn’t get to the flat to inspect it properly until the 24 hours had elapsed due to work and other commitments and didn’t move in until several days later, when I noticed the damage. I am paying the outstanding rent to stop any recourse on either myself or my father, they can keep the deposit, but they are going to have to work for it, I am not cleaning the flat up for them, when they are fleecing me for £325 for a replacement door, which will cost less than £50, it’s only a MDF door, with some adhesive Fablon wood effect covering, seems that all agencies are complete arsebandits from I have been hearing from other people, screwing people out of their deposits for general wear and tear on the property!
