It’s robot man again!

Yes that’s right, football related stuff, and England’s game away at Skopje against Macedonia, it was certainly a much tougher test for the Steve McClaren’s men only managing a measly 0 – 1 win. A win is a win, it’s three points, but after scoring nine goals in two games, its seems almost disappointing as most of the English fans expected several goals as on paper, Macedonia are hardly a match for England. But saying that Macedonia gave England a run for their money and could have easily taken a point from the fixture if it wasn’t the John Terry and Ashley Cole making crucial blocks and clearances during the game. But it was in form man Peter Crouch that brought all three points home with a half volley that ricocheted off the cross bar and just about crossed the line. So a bit of a wake up call for McClaren and his men, but a lot of positives came from the game, the defence were amazing, equally as good as the old Arsenal back four that used to play for England. The midfield looked a bit scrapping and stretched at times giving the ball away easily, although Macedonia really played their heart out and had more hunger than England for much of the game! But on the other extreme, Germany beat San Marino 0 – 13 in the principality, with the Germans going in at half time 0 – 6 up. And in the second half, they scored a futher seven goals to totally humiliate the San Marino team. Lukas Podolski scored four, while Bastian Schweinsteiger, Miroslav Klose and Thomas Hitzlsperger all scored twice; Michael Ballack, Manuel Friedrich and Bernd Schneider also claimed goals, seems that it was open season on the San Marino goal last night; it seems that Germany couldn’t miss!
