Another Match, Another Draw!

Plymouth Argyle somehow only managed to come away with only one point from the home fixture against Ipswich Town, 1 – 1 the game finished. The visitors caught Plymouth napping and took the lead just a minute into the game off the boot of Sylvain Legwinski. Plymouth reacted well to going behind and skipper Paul Wotton levelled the scores when he directed a Tony Capaldi cross beyond the Ipswich keeper. Plymouth pushed hard for a second goal to secure the win, but the Tractor Boys stood firm against the Argyle onslaught. It does sometime seem that Plymouth lack finishing ability as they put plenty of pressure on the opposition, but rarely manage to convert that pressure into goals, when we do win, it’s usually by a narrow margin, usually only one goal in the game. And even more bizarre is that our away form has been better than our home form, just take a look at this table, but one thing that stands out is Plymouth have only suffered two defeats in 14 games! Argyle drop one place to sixth, but that could be seventh tomorrow evening should Wolves beat Sunderland at the St Mary’s, so I shall be cheering on Sunderland tomorrow as they can’t touch Argyle in this round of matches. but should they beat Wolves, will be only three points behind the Pilgrims, just shows what a tight competitive season it has been so far!

Also I went to have a look at the new PA setup in Voodoo Lounge and it’s looking pretty impressive, 8Kw FoH PA, 2Kw monitor mix, 10 compression channels, 31 band FoH EQ and 31 band monitor EQ and a 24 channel mixing console, so it’s looking good, can’t wait to see and hear the rig in action on Friday, and get my hands on it as soon as possible, Phil is being greedy and grabbing the first night with the shiny [semi] new equipment!
