Last night I worked in Voodoo engineering some bands for a private birthday party, which isn’t unusual but what was unusual is that I couldn’t drink. I bought a pint about 10pm, and still had the same drink come 12am when I packed all the mics, cables and stands away. I simply couldn’t drink alcohol, my body wasn’t having it, seems that the previous nights adventures had taken it’s toll on me. I will be staying home taking it easy tonight preparing for the arrival of my Icelandic friend Tomas on Friday who is coming over for a weekend break. But the main reason is to see the mighty Iron Maiden live in Cardiff on Monday evening, which will be awesome as Iron Maiden always are live. I am also looking forward to seeing Trivium supporting and Steve Harris’ daughter Lauren Harris and her band will also be playing, not sure how she’ll go down with the Maiden fans with her pop/rock style!
Over the last couple of weeks I have been conversing with a young lady from Indiana called Jill. It seems like we have a lot in common in general, she is yet another anti-Bush American, it seems that no-one with any common sense voted for him, all my American internet friends I know thoroughly despise Bush and what he has done during his reign over the US. It’s nice to converse with people from different countries, and walks of life, all this came from a comment I made on my MySpace page about the UK being the 51st state of America, it’s all good though, most people take it in good humour as it was meant.
