The place I am referring to is C103 (formerly JFK’s); every time I go there I always end up feeling like shit for various reasons. Last night I tried to make peace with my brother after an incident three months ago. But he pretty much just blanked me, so I had to just walk away thinking at least I tried to make peace. It shouldn’t really bother me, we have never really seen eye to eye but I hate to be at odds with people especially when its family. Later that night after leaving JFK’s, Stephen decided to have a go at me because he had a bad night for different reasons and took it out on me. As I didn’t want to end up getting into a pointless argument in the middle of the street I just walked away. Everything is OK now, I was pissed off at the time, but he later texted me and apologised for the way he spoke to me. It really does make me wonder why I even bother going to JFK’s as I never enjoy it, it’s not a scene I like any more, most of the people I liked and got on with no longer go for whatever reason. Since I am not part of that whole scene it’s not easy to meet new people, I almost feel like an outsider there, maybe I should just stick to live music, the people are much friendlier and I feel like I fit in well in that sort of environment. What’s worse is that I had to break a promise because of it, I was supposed to be going out to Voodoo Lounge tonight to take some pictures of the bands playing but can’t go because I feel so ill after last night!
At least there is finally something to cheer about in my sporting interests. Plymouth Argyle beat Norwich 1 – 3 at Carrow Road. The home team initially took the lead seconds before the half time whistle with an excellent free kick from Youssef Safri. It took 15 minutes for Argyle to get the equaliser with veteran striker Barry Hayles notching up his ninth goal since joining the Pilgrims. It was Hungarian midfielder Akos Buzsaky that won all three points for Plymouth with two sweetly taken free kicks the first one finding the top right of goal and the second crashing in off the crossbar in a 12 minute period. Argyle move back up one place to 12th and even more amazingly Plymouth are still only five points off a play off place, so could the dream still happen, getting promoted to the Premiership?
It was the Craig Bellamy and Peter Crouch show today at Vicarage Road with the Reds beating Watford 0 – 3. The scoring was opened in the 34th minute when Craig Bellamy connected with Steve Finnan’s cross to defeat Watford keeper Ben Foster. Peter Crouch got Liverpool’s second just before half time heading the ball past a stranded Ben Foster after making a spectacular save to deny Bellamy. It was Peter Crouch that made sure of all three points with a pinpoint shot from 12 yards out in the 48th minute. That’s one hell of a way to make a statement after going out of both domestic cup competitions to Arsenal in a four day period. Today’s win keeps Liverpool in 3rd; one point above Arsenal who also won by a comfortable margin away at Ewood Park. Liverpool will have to keep winning games if they hope to finish as best of the rest this season as Arsenal are snapping away at their heals now, and I don’t see Arsenal dropping too many points in the run up to the end of the season!
