Over the last couple of weeks I have realised that my feelings for my American lady run a lot deeper than I thought. I have completely and totally fallen for her, she is the most perfect, beautiful, intelligent, kind, caring, sexy woman I have ever met! So I would like to introduce all the readers to Lindsey, isn’t she beautiful? I am in an odd situation really, I would have never thought in a million years that I would fall in love with someone I met on the internet, let alone on the other side of the world! I was a complete idiot Friday night I told her that I love her, then wished I never said anything and I was going to walk away, as it feels so bad that I am far away from her with very little hope of getting to her any time soon because of money! I have never been so sure of anything in my life, I want Lindsey, she is my world, everything I want in life! I know that she is a little reluctant to commit fully yet, but I see signs that she has completely fallen for me as I have her, maybe the prospect of losing me has made her realise how deep her feelings for me run. I still can’t believe that someone hasn’t snapped her up, and that she wants me over everyone else, I feel so privileged to have met her!
The second week of Alternation hasn’t been as good as I hoped after the first week, maybe I was expecting too much? We only had 54 paying customers, which scraped through my target for the night, but it is disappointing after the success of the launch night, guess when you charge on the door people aren’t willing to pay for a midweek night even if it is only £1. I just wasn’t up for it as much, it didn’t have the same vibe as the launch night, especially as the first two hours were incredibly quiet! But I guess its still early yet; 54 people is a good starting base, we just need to promote the night harder now, I knew in reality that it wasn’t going to be easy to make the night work and that the first night gave me false hope! I’m going to give it three months, if we cant turn it around then I’m going to call it a day, I can say that I tried! Steve and Stephen may want to continue with it, but I don’t want to be there for a handful of people like the previous Voodoo Alternative night that we took over from!
The English cricket team achieved something that I thought would never happen, they’ve beaten the Aussies in the one day series against all the odds. England have come strong in the last four games, that win over the Aussies has given the English the belief that they can win the tournament. This obviously gives England great momentum going into the World Cup next month. England triumphed over the Australians in the second final by 34 runs in a rain interrupted match, I’m sure that England would have liked to have bowled Australia out, but won the match on the Duckworth Lewis rule. Paul Collingwood made another fine 70 runs on top of his back to back centuries in his previous two matches. Andrew Flintoff made a useful contribution 42 and Mal Loye came close to making a one day 50, falling five runs short. You could just see in the body language that England are full of confidence now, something that was lacking in the Ashes series and for much of the one day series.
It hasn’t been such a great weekend for my football interests, Plymouth Argyle lost 0 – 2 at Home Park against Sunderland. Sunderland’s premiership pedigree shone through in a game that Argyle were always chasing. Liverpool also went down 2 – 1 to Newcastle as St James Park despite initially taking the lead, Newcastle fought back against inform Liverpool to win the tie from the penalty spot on the 70th minute. The English rugby team won their second six nations game against Italy, but wasn’t as convincing as it should have been, with the coach calling for better from England, but we are looking good for the world cup later this year, lets hope that the rugby boys can do it for England, as the football team don’t look like they are going to win anything soon; losing out 0 – 1 to Spain in a friendly on Wednesday!
