Ian Holloway’s cup of tea is brewing nicely at the moment as Plymouth Argyle sail past Derby Country for the second time this season at Home Park. Plymouth ran rings around a lacklustre Derby County in the first half and that pressure was converted into a goal from the penalty spot in the 14th minute after Kevin Gallen was brought down by Darren Moore. Gallen later had another chance from the penalty spot but was denied by the parry of Stephen Bywater when Moore climbed all over Krisztian Timar for his first booking of the game. Plymouth keeper Luke McCormick keep the 1 – 0 lead intact with a number of top notch saves to deny the visitors. Moore was then sent off for a second bookable offence when he chopped down Gallen for the second time in the game. It was pretty much one way traffic from then on, and Chelsea wonderboy Scott Sinclair sealed the victory late in the game to condemn Derby to their second Home Park defeat this season. So it’s into the FA Cup quarter finals for the first time in 23 years, could it really happen? could Argyle make it all the way to the final and be the first team to play in the new Wembley stadium? It’s unlikely, but I never thought we’d be making it through this far, so anything could happen!
