I am not going to talk about Ali, I want to, but I need to stop before everyone gets fed up of hearing about her before they even meet her, but I am confident that my friends will love her. So instead I am going to talk about some football stuff. Plymouth Argyle have signed both Hungarians after their loan spells spending out a record £400,000 on midfielder Peter Halmosi who impressed on his loan spell scoring and creating many vital goals in the past five months. Krisztian Timar who joined the Pilgrims on loan at the same time as Halmosit also signed a permanent deal worth £75,000. Timar has been instrumental in shoring up the Argyle defence this season. It’s just a shame that Scott Sinclair isn’t available to be signed on a permanent contract as well from Chelsea. But I believe that next season Argyle will have firm base to start their promotion campaign with Paul Wotton being back in the fray after an injury plagued season. Wotton combined with Halmosi will be a dominant force in the midfield with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Barry Hayles up front. I’m not sure about whether promotion is a real prospect for next season, but we’ll have to aim for a top 10 finish next season, maybe even a play-off spot. Being an Argyle supporter certainly isn’t for the glory hunters out there, “We Are Argyle” – there’s an awful lot of ups and downs, but we are The Green Army until we die. It could be worse, you could be a Manchester United supporter, lost out on the Champions League and the FA Cup, although I actually wanted United to win, I dislike them a little less than I dislike Chelsea. But the big one is still to come, Liverpool versus AC Milan in the Champions League final. I really want Liverpool to silence all their critics, notably Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti. A lot of teams have underestimated Liverpool and have come a cropper because of it, let’s hope that this Wednesday in Athens will be another one of those nights. But now I am torn, Liverpool or Ali, hmm, maybe we could watch the match from bed, that may work, although Ali’s a Man Utd supporter, I’d rather not argue on our first night together.
