I should have stayed in bed!

Yesterday was a day I would like to forget; frustrations and inadvertently upsetting people. First off I get a call from the Voodoo Lounge telling me that I am supposed to be engineering a DJ night at 9:10pm a whole 40 minutes after I should have been there to start setting up. I wasn’t late; no-one elected to let me know that I was required for the night, I didn’t even know anything was on last night. So it’s been booked for a month and in that time, no-one elected to tell me my services would be required! So that put me in an annoyed mood to start with; then I managed to upset Alan with a stupid sarcastic remark; it’s a case of opening my mouth before engaging my brain. I later found out that his girlfriend has been cheating on him, so that explains why he took my comments out of context. I managed to sort that situation out then I managed to upset Simon by saying in a tongue n’ cheek manner that he’s a bully, partially I meant it but it was intended as a joke. He does tend to be very much in your face and I don’t like that, I find it annoying and on occasions he does throw his weight around if he’s in bad mood! Then to cap everything off when I got home I called Erin and her microphone wasn’t working so she had to reboot and in the time it took to reboot; my net connection went down so I elected to just go to bed before I ended up smashing stuff up. And I managed to upset Erin because she thought I didn’t want to talk to her and I was so frustrated with the whole situation I didn’t even think to text her to tell her what had happened. My phone battery had died while I was at work, so I didn’t get her text until the morning when I plugged in my phone to charge it. Things are starting to get on top of me; working more than I really should be and getting frustrated by the fact that I can’t actually be with Erin physically and when circumstances mean that I can’t even hear her voice sent me over the edge and pretty much shut down for the night!

Not talked much about sport recently, so here’s a quick update of my sporting interests. Plymouth Argyle have had mixed fortunes since the return of Paul Sturrock after Holloway ditched Plymouth to chase the money. Three home games; one win, one draw and one loss and an away loss to Norwich and now rumours are flying around that many of the top players will be following Holloway to Leicester. Sturrock has poured cold water on these rumours, but it’s very worrying none-the-less. Argyle need to stabilise themselves again after Holloway’s departure, not have even more upheaval. Especially ahead of tomorrow’s away tie at Vicarage Road against top of the table Watford. But this league is so unpredictable; it’s completely possible that Argyle could come away with all three points, but a draw would do; claiming a point away from home is always good! Liverpool’s champions league aspirations are alive and kicking after two convincing wins; 4 – 0 away at Marseille and a 4 – 1 win against FC Porto at Anfield! But were beaten 3 – 1 by Reading in the premiership seven days after thumping Bolton 4 – 0. Liverpool are now seven points off the leaders and face another tough tie on Sunday against Manchester United at Anfield!
