Dawn of Realisation!

It’s a new year and I have come to realise just what a massive undertaking my plans to move to America to be with Erin really is. I’ve been looking into selling things and it’s more complicated than it needs to be, but the laptop and desktop computers are all but sold already. But I need to sell everything and most of it is pretty bulky so isn’t exactly easy to take to the local second hand shop. I could just give everything away, which would probably be easier, but I paid a lot of money for most of this electrical equipment so I would like to at least get something back. But that is nothing compared to the prospect of leaving everything I know to pursue an uncertain future in the US. I am sure that it will work out with Erin, but can I live in the US? Can I find work in the US? Will I even be giving the ability to work by the US government? Then it’s the financial issues of moving across the world, even my DVDs could potentially cost hundreds of pounds to ship over. There’s so many unknowns, but if I don’t take this risk I would always regret it and wonder what could have been. Ultimately I am chasing happiness which is my main driving force, it’s not often you meet someone that is infinitely compatible. At least things are moving along now, I have heard back from the passport office and they want me to attend an interview to prove I am who I say I am. I need to call their appointment line and make an appointment, but at least there is an interview office in Plymouth and only five minutes walk from my home.

Not a good start to the new year for Argyle losing 1 – 0 away at Ninian Park. Former Argyle player Tony Capaldi fired off a stinging shot that Plymouth keeper Romain Larrieu could only parry and Joe Ledley had an easy tap in from close range. New signing Lukasz Jutkiewicz came close to levelling things in the dying moments, but Kasper Schmeichel save denied him a goal on debut. Plymouth slip a place to 7th one point behind Ipswich, so despite this loss Argyle are still in with a shot of a play-off place come May. But Judas #2 Ian Holloway has yet again gone against his word and revisited Home Park for players; signing Barry Hayles for an undisclosed fee, quickly being replaced by Jutkiewicz in attack for Argyle. Let’s hope that more players don’t decide to defect to Leicester, that would be a disaster for Plymouth! This was always a concern of mine when Holloway left for Leicester!
