David Norris has put in a transfer request and that request has been denied. Now as much as I would like to see him stay at the club, I would want him to want to be at the club. Any player that is being forced to stay will not play as well as he would if he still had loyalty and passion for the club. So let him go for the rumoured 2m pounds that Ipswich have offered and we know that Ian Holloway is interested in signing Norris. I would rather he went to Ipswich if he goes anywhere for the simple reason I don’t want him to join Holloway at Leicester. Holloway said upon leaving Home Park that he wouldn’t revisit Home Park for players. As we know he has already poached Barry Hayles and now he is revisiting the well to poach Norris. It seems to me that Holloway’s word isn’t worth the breath exhaled when speaking those words. Plymouth have signed Hungarian international Gyorgy Sandor from Ujpest according to Sky Sports. I don’t know anything about him but I assume he must be good to be an international player. I don’t know how much Argyle paid for him as the fee hasn’t been disclosed but the midfield now needs strengthening as Norris is likely to be leaving the club. The Hungarian players at Argyle have been top notch so far in Timar and Halmosi, so we have a trio of Hungarians again after Akos Buzsaky left Home Park for QPR.
Also I have been having trouble with my mobile not working, so apologies to anyone that has tried to call or text. Making calls is all but impossible, I go to my phone book, press the call button, wait for the usual pause while connecting the call, then I hear BEEP BEEP BEEP and the call disconnects. I have been having the same issues with text messages having to make several attempts to send a text before it eventually leaves my outbox. Incoming texts sometimes arrive, other times disappear into thin air and incoming calls for the most part never ring my phone and gets directed straight to voicemail when my phone is switched on and full signal is being shown on the display. I have Emailed Orange with my issues and I am awaiting a reply from them as it’s clearly not a temporary network fault after a week of problems. It’s likely to be the phone as I have heard several people talk of problems with the Sony Ericsson K800i and every other person I meet has one. I’m certainly not willing to pay out money for a phone service I can’t even use, but the problem I have is that my Internet connection is linked to my mobile phone package. Hopefully Orange will send me a replacement phone or send me a voucher to redeem in an Orange shop. I like the K800i, and don’t really want another model, I just want a working model! Not much to ask I think?
