What the fcuk is going on?

Last night + Alternation = Shit! That’s all I have to say about that, I did write a huge rant about the people of Plymouth and the club/live scene in Plymouth but Internet Explorer crashed (Its my own fault for using IE instead of Firefox) and lost everything I wrote. Fuck it I can’t be bothered rewriting it. Alternation has two more weeks left to take it up to it’s first birthday and then I’ll be putting the night out of its misery, shotgun on standby!

So now onto sport and the January transfer window. Plymouth have lost another one of their top strikers. A few weeks ago Argyle lost Barry Hayles to Leicester City and now we have lost Sylvan Ebanks-Blake to Wolves. David Norris is still the target of Ipswich Town despite Argyle turning down a 1.5 million pound offer for the midfielder. Ebanks-Blake had a clause in his contract that if someone offered 1.5 million for the striker he had an opt out clause and is obviously chasing the money at Wolves. Plymouth have lots of money from all the player sales but ultimately that’ll mean the downfall of Argyle form and chances of a play-off spot come the end of the season fading! Even worse Lee Martin who was on loan from Manchester United earlier in the season has elected to go to Sheffield United instead of signing another loan deal with the Pilgrims. Plymouth Argyle have had a bid for Aberdeen defender Michael Hart accepted but suddenly Preston have made an offer for the player and that transfer is now up in the air. With a little luck Argyle will be successful in their bid for Luton Town strikers Calvin Andrew and Drew Talbot who both appeared in Luton’s 1 – 1 FA cup draw with Liverpool last Sunday. I really hope that Argyle can secure the services of Andrew and Talbot from cash strapped Luton. Let’s face it Argyle are a little thin on the ground in attack right now with the departure of Hayles and Ebanks-Blake. Who’s idea was it to have a transfer window in the middle of the season anyway? Whoever it was should have their testicles cut off with a rusty knife. Transfers should be limited to between seasons where it’s going to cause the least disruption for all concerned! Both Argyle manager, Sturrock and former manager Holloway has expressed dismay at the January transfer window, it’s complete idiocy! Again it’s all about money, it’s not about sport anymore!
