And people put their faith in the church!

A vicar from Beguildy in Wales has been found guilty of possessing more than 55,000 indecent images of children. Nearly 1,500 of those images are in category 4 and a further 44 in category 5, which show actual physical sexual abuse of children. I have to say that I don’t believe in God and would go as far as saying that God is a creation of the church to control the masses and many people blindly follow without question. Ever noticed how your local vicar/priest always refers to his congregation as his flock (sheep anyone?). With so many putting their faith in God and the church I find it scary that a man of the cloth could perpetrate such acts against Children. Child abuse is widespread amounst the church no matter what your faith is and the worst of these is the holier than thou catholic church. Anyway, the vicar in question has been suspended from his church duties and will be sentenced on the 25th of September and will await his sentence behind bars. Let’s hope that the sick bastard gets put in general population as men that abuse children are not welcome in the general prison population. He will either not make it to sentencing or will face sentencing with a new sexual orientation. And to be honest he deserves everything he gets as he was involved in the taking of indecent photos as well as possessing them on his PC!

In cricket, England’s hopes of a 5 – 0 whitewash of South Africa in the One Day International series were dashed by the British weather. The start of the game was delayed by a wet outfield in Cardiff meaning the game was reduced to 43 overs per innings. England started well with Stuart Broad claiming the only wicket of the game in the second over, Matt Prior making a spectacular diving one handed catch before the game was abandoned in the third over. England can take heart in their performance in this series but it would have been nice to whitewash the Proteas sending them home with their tails between their legs. But the saddest thing is that the weather denied England a jump from 5th to 2nd in the one day rankings. England sit two points behind SA in the rankings as things stand. Guess it’s time for me to eat my words now, I said that I thought that Kevin Pietersen was a bad choice for captain but thus far he has proved me wrong winning every game he has been in charge of Team England; so hats off to you Mr Pietersen! Bring on the Aussies next summer!
