I just read this news article on the BBC News website about Northern Ireland’s most wanted driving criminal. Irish officers have been booking a Mr. Prawo Jazdy time and time again, racking up more than 50 driving offences. Or at least that’s what the officers thought as Mr. Jazdy gave a different address each time he was booked across the length and breadth of Northern Ireland. Now if there are any Polish people reading this blog entry; they’ll already know the punchline as Prawo Jazdy means Driving Licence in Polish. Mr. Driving Licence is infamous across Ireland for his speedy/false address giving behaviour, I bet there are some very embarrassed police officers in Ireland right now. Irish police were following guidelines set out that say that the name of the driver if at the top of the licence, but on Polish licences it simply says driving licence. Guess that the officers will have to carry a translator around with them from now on to avoid such embarrassment! I couldn’t stop laughing when I read this article!
Two points dropped, some might say… but at least it wasn’t another heavy defeat like previous home games. Plymouth Argyle could have won the game from what I have heard through 606 but decisions didn’t go their way. But at the same time, we conceded soft goals because of our leaky defence, took the lead twice only to be pegged back twice. Hopefully this 2 – 2 draw will give the players some confidence to score more goals in future games. New loan signing Carl Fletcher made an instant impact scoring Argyle’s first goal which seems to make a positive impact on the other players, let’s hope we can keep him until the end of the season. Despite gaining a point today, Argyle still dropped a place to 20th in the league, but maintained the three point cushion to the bottom three. Today was almost like a mini victory after Plymouth’s recent form at Home Park, I think this result may well have saved manager Paul Sturrock!
