I’m just a little obsessed with extreme weather so when myself, Erin and our two friends Amber and Travis were out. I was happy to hear the tornado sirens blaring as we drove to a bookstore for a coffee as we had missed the start of the movie we intended to see. We arrived at the bookstore and shortly after arriving an announcement went over the public address system saying that anyone that wanted to leave, should leave now as they would be locking the doors because of the tornado warning. They never actually locked the doors as a steady stream of people kept walking in every few minutes. We were there for about 30 minutes before we felt a massive drop in air pressure so I started to get quite excited as sudden air pressure drops happen when a tornado is close. But that was about as exciting as it got as it fizzled out and never even became even a tiny tornado. There was a small tornado classified as a F0 tornado briefly in neighbouring counties earlier in the day but nothing of any note. So the whole experience was a bit of an anti-climax really, and yes I am a would be storm chaser and/or tornado chaser!
Plymouth Argyle had another solid result over the weekend claiming a point from their tie with Reading at Home Park. Paul Gallagher who is enjoying a renaissance of form scoring five goals in his last four games put Argyle in the lead on 20 minutes only to have that goal cancelled out two minutes later by Alex Pearce’s headed goal for the visitors. Jamie Mackie looked to have won it for Argyle in the 56th minute running at the defence and unleashing an unstoppable long range rocket. But the Green Army were denied all three points on the 80th minute when Jimmy Kebe found some space to slot home from close range. Plymouth edge a further point away from the relegation zone but remain in 17th. Argyle play Swansea at the Liberty Stadium tonight, let’s hope for another good result. If Plymouth do win against The Swans they could move upto 15th if other results go their way. Swansea will be hard to beat as they are fighting for a play-off place, so I’ll be happy with a point from this game, three points will be a nice bonus!
