FAILED! Not only did Plymouth Argyle fail to beat Doncaster but were humiliated by the visitors losing the game 0 – 3. Even by manager Paul Sturrock’s own admission his players never really turned up at the game. It baffling to think that we can hold our own away against the top two teams but can’t remotely match fellow strugglers Doncaster at Home Park! Is it Sturrock’s management style and/or tactics or is it simply that the players don’t turn up at the park with the right mental attitude? Either way the Pilgrims are in real danger of relegation if they can’t a pull a rabbit of a hat in the final two games of the season. Plymouth are just four points off the drop zone with Barnsley who Argyle play in our last game of the season and Norwich having a game in hand over the Pilgrims. Next up Plymouth travel to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers which is a crunch match for Argyle’s survival hopes this season. Two wins from the last two games is almost essential to keep survival in Plymouth’s own hands, Sturrock’s men really don’t want to leave it in the hands of other results, demotion is a very real possibility this season.
