Seven Days of Baby Alya Elizabeth

The past seven days have been tiring to say the least, Erin and I having to get up five or six times every night to feed or change baby Alya Elizabeth. Which hasn’t been so bad as I have been off work over the Thanksgiving break so we could sleep in for a few more hours but I am back to work tomorrow. There really hasn’t been any problems with Alya over the last week but it seems that she is lactose intolerant so we had to buy a different type of formula. She is eating much more than what the hospital recommended, we are not going to let her be hungry just because the hospital staff don’t recommend feeding her as much as she wants. We bought Conner a Fast Lane Long Bridge Challenger II slot car track which has appeased him as we are spending more time with Alya plus trying to keep the apartment clean and tidy. Travis, who is visiting from Arkansas also bought Conner a radio controlled monster truck to further appease him. Conner really hasn’t shown too much interest in the baby really, we want to get him involved but he seems oblivious to her, so much so he almost sat on her yesterday. Life in the last week has been good for most part with the exception of some frayed nerves because of the lack of sleep. The big test will be this week as I will be back at work, having to get up at 6:45am to get ready for work at 8am.

Liverpool managed to get back to winning ways in the Premiership beating fellow Merseysiders Everton 0 – 2 at Goodison Park. Joseph Yobo deflected Javier Mascherano shot into the back of his own net to give the vistors the lead in the 12th minute. Dirk Kuyt pounced on Albert Riera’s parried shot to put the Red’s two goals to the good. It seemed like a better performance from Liverpool from what I have read and heard about the game and this wins moves Liverpool into fifth place two points behind Arsenal who were beaten by league leaders Chelsea. Earlier in the week Liverpool exited the Champions League despite beating Debrecan 1- 0 which is a good thing as manger Rafael Benitez can now concentrate on the league instead of having split interests.

Plymouth Argyle’s game at Home Park against Barnsley was abandoned after 58 minutes with the visitors 1 – 4  up. The Pilgrims scored first only for the Tykes to hit four goals in 20 minutes. Understandably Barnsley manager Mark Robbins is very angry with his team about to claim three points. Paul Sturrock’s Argyle was very lucky to have the game abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch, maybe this piece of luck will be a turning point for Argyle’s season, fingers crossed!
