England 2 – 1 Hungary

England put the misery of the World Cup behind them with a 2 – 1 win over Hungary at Wembley Stadium. Despite England having the better of the play, passing the ball much more fluidly than seen in the World Cup, the home team went behind in the 63rd minute. A defensive error allowed Zoltan Gera to get a cross into the box which was deflected goalbound by England defender Phil Jagielka. Although England have reason to be upset by the goal as Michael Dawson appeared to clear the shot off the line, but the referee saw it differently awarding the goal to the Hungarians. It was Steven Gerrard that came to the rescue again; equalizing with one of his trademark strikes from 20 yards out in the 73rd minute. Four minutes later Gerrard struck again with a great turn and shoot effort to put the English in the lead. Hungary went close to equalizing as the game closed in but Joe Hart was equal to Gera’s stinging shot. Overall a much better performance compared to the World Cup and lots of younger talent on show which proves that coach Fabio Capello is looking towards the 2012 World Cup. The so called “golden generation” have had their chance, time for fresh blood to take England forward! Let’s face it; they can’t do too much worse!

In other bizarre news from around the World; US court denies parents custody of Hitler and sister. My wife and I disagree on this story; I fully support the court taking the children away from clearly mentally disturbed parents. The Story concerns the parents naming their children, Adolf Hitler Cambell (4), JoyceLynn Aryan Nation (3), Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie (2). Honszlynn Hinler is the feminine version of Heinrich Himler. My wife believes that just because they have been given Nazi names; the court have no right to take away the children without proof of abuse. I simply believe that those children will be subject to abuse give the names Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himler are synonymous with the murder of millions of Jews and political prisoners.
