Oh Dear Mr Reina! Naughty Mr. Cole!

Liverpool’s premiership campaign got off to a bad start drawing 1 –  1 with Arsenal at Anfield. Joe Cole got sent off on his Liverpool debut for lunging at Laurent Koscielny seconds before the end of the first half. Despite being a man down, Liverpool took the lead one minute after the restart; David Ngog firing Javier Mascherano’s neat little pass into the back of the Arsenal net. The scoreline stayed 1- 0 until the 91st minute, after the goal, the Gunners looked more like the home team with the player overlap and that pressure resulted in Reds keeper Pepe Reina fumbling Marouane Chamakh’s shot  into the back of his own net off the post to gift the visitors a valuable point. This one will have to go down to a goal keeping mistake by Reina, Liverpool should have claimed all three points. Makes me wonder if this is going to be another season of missed opportunities at home, too many draws at what used to be Fortress Anfield. Liverpool currently occupy ninth position in the league with only five on the nine games so far ending in a win, Manchester United Play Newcastle United on Monday evening, I fully expect that to be three points to the Mancs, so Liverpool will drop to 10th should my prediction become reality.
