Former Argyle manager Ian Holloway’s Blackpool have done the double over Liverpool; beating the Reds home and away! Liverpool started out well at Bloomfield Road; Fernando Torres netted from close range in the 3rd minute of play. Which had us wondering if Kenny Dalglish had managed to inspire the Reds back to winning ways within days of taking over as caretaker manager. But that hope was short lived for Liverpool fans when Gary Taylor-Fletcher brought the home side level in the 12th minute. The scores remained 1 – 1 until the 69th minute when Dudley Campbell headed home the winning goal to leave Liverpool leaving Blackpool empty handed. Liverpool slip to 13th place in the league; just four points off the relegation zone while Blackpool move upto 9th place. I just hope that “King” Kenny has enough time remaining to revive Liverpool’s fortunes and primarily avoid relegation this season and build for next season. It’s dodgy omens when the last time Liverpool had this few points at the half way points of the season, they got relegated, fingers crossed this isn’t this case now! If anyone can rescue the Reds, it’ll be “King” Kenny!
