Slippery slope to relegation? Argyle lose 3 – 1 to Huddersfield!

We know that two important players have officially left Home Park, Craig Noone to Brighton; Reda Johnson to Sheffield Wednesday; and it’s all but a done deal meaning Bradley Wright-Phillips will be on his way to Reading. The striker hasn’t played any part in the last two Argyle games which have ended in defeat! So the game at the Galpharm Stadium; Argyle lost the game 3 – 2 due to poor discipline being reduced to nine men by 15 minutes after the half time break! Plymouth took an early two goal lead; Joe Mason striking twice on the first and 15th minutes. But during this time Argyle were reduced to 10 men; Curtis Nelson given a straight red in his first start for Argyle, hardly making a case for a regular starting spot it is? Kari Arnason put the home team back in the game with an own goal; Jordan Rhodes’ long range effort put Huddersfield level on 29 minutes and Peter Clarke gave the Terriers the lead on the 32nd minute. Any hopes of a Plymouth comeback were dashed in the 53rd minute when Stephane Zubar was sent off for a second bookable offence. The Pilgrims discipline was piss poor today, five yellows and two reds, which ultimately cost Plymouth the game! The only shining light was Joe Mason who scored two great goals but the bad news is that his recent form will attract attention. I wonder how long it’ll be before an offer comes in for the striker. Peter Reid must feel like he is managing a team with one hand tied behind his back as half his senior players are being picked off by other clubs.

Of course school was out today here in USD259 (Wichita area) because a little snow and cold weather. The official reason why school is out is the low temperature wind chill; really? I was under the impression that school was held indoors? It’s still unknown whether school will be back tomorrow or not. This is one of the reasons why Erin and I decided I should stay home rather than work, unexpected days off school, plus regular in-service days and public holidays, Presidents day, Martin Luther-King day etc and of course babysitting and latchkey services! But back to the issue; for a state that gets a load of inclement weather; there is an amazing lack of preparedness!
