In my previous update concerning P&A Partnership’s threat to resign from running the club, I didn’t realise why these rogue group of fans were quite so angry, but now I know. Brendan Guilfoyle and company are not releasing the gate funds from the Accrington Stanley game at Home Park as promised because James Brent’s Akkeron Group refuses to pay the administration fees that P&A Partnership are demanding and rightfully so given that Brent was the first to table a bid all the way back in March only to be swept aside because Brent refused to pay for exclusivity!
Guilfoyle is now blaming Plymouth City Council for selecting and sticking with Kevin Heaney’s Bishop International, the city council wanted a private sector (commercial) buyer for the club according to administrators. My question is why does Vivien Pengelly and the council have a say in the sale of the club? if they don’t want to buy the land the stadium sits on, then just say so and let the administrator do what’s best for the club. Selecting Bishop International was not the right thing to do, extending deadline after deadline was not the right thing to do! Consistently lying to the fans and staff was not the right thing to do, treating fans and staff like idiots was not the right thing to do. Brendan Guilfoyle and your partners at P&A; you are a disgrace to the profession, if you had any scruples; you’d waive you fees except for the time dealing with Akkeron Group!
Guilfoyle has now rescinded his threat to quit the club, a move that may have been forced by opposition of key creditors who may seek fresh administrators. The only stumbling block to a successful conclusion is the administrators themselves as they refuse to complete unless they get the money they demand. If the club goes under because of P&A Partnership, they’ll need all their security guards as there’ll be a lynch mob on their doorstep. Fans, staff and players have all had enough of the delays and lies, time to complete so we can build a new future for the club!
