Argyle held to scoreless draw at Home Park!

Plymouth Argyle were held to scoreless draw at Home Park by Dagenham & Redbridge, the pilgrims fourth consecutive home draw; we have to look back to the 14th January for the last home win. It’s another point for the cause and keeps Argyle in 21st place but it’s disappointing seeing how well Argyle played this afternoon, but I guess a point is better than walking away empty handed!

The game was even in possession terms, both teams earning 50% of the ball but Argyle were way ahead on shots on goal, 13 to six. Luke Daley and Robbie Williams both hit the post; Conor Hourihane and Alex MacDonald both had goal-bound shots parried by the excellent on-loan keeper, Jonathan Bond. On a different day; all those shots would have found the back of the net!

Argyle remain in 21st position, three points behind Macclesfield and level on points with Hereford United, Argyle ahead on goal difference. The Pilgrims cause was helped by Hereford drawing their match and Northampton losing their match. It’s incredibly tight at the bottom of the league, positions could be reversed very quickly with three points covering the bottom four teams.

Romain Larrieu booked despite not playing?

As you can see above, according to the BBC; Romain Larrieu has been shown a yellow card despite not actually featuring in this game, either the BBC has got it wrong or the referee has gone nuts!
