A brave new world and design!

I’ve finally managed to complete the new design of the website using many new CSS3 effects. I have also re-enabled the comments on my blog entries, whether that’s a good idea remains to be seen, I disabled the comments about four years ago because I was forever deleting spam messages, so why not use the comments to tell me what you think of the new design, keep it clean!

Plymouth Argyle managed to break the trend of three league losses in the row to record a 1 – 3 victory away at Stadium:MK. Onismor Bhasera opened the scoring for Argyle on the 22nd minute with a brilliant single effort running at the defence to slot the ball into the top left of goal. The Pilgrims had two more good chances before Kari Arnason unleashed a 35 yard strike into the top centre of the net on the 29th minute. Bhasera got on the scoresheet again in the 39th minute but for the wrong reasons deflecting Danny Woodards’ cross past Argyle keeper David Button! Chris Clark made sure of all three points on the 80th minute with a great reaction shot from the edge of the penalty area. It’s frustrating when I see Argyle play like this; three losses on the bounce and suddenly today the Pilgrims looked like a completely different team. This seems to have a lot recently; two or three poor performances then somehow the Pilgrims pull out a performance like this; it’s baffling to me! This victory pushes Argyle upto 13th in the league, even more amazing is that Argyle are effectively one win away from a play-off spot, it just goes to show how tight lower league football is in the UK recently, a couple a good wins can change everything!
